A Community Where You Learn
AI at Your Own Pace
Three structured programmes — from Python foundations to deep learning — built around mentors, peers, and a space that feels more like a neighbourhood than a classroom.
Three Houses of Learning
Each programme is a self-contained community with its own pace, mentor hours, and peer courtyard. Choose where you belong.
First Steps in AI Development
A welcoming place to begin — seven weeks of Python fundamentals, basic data handling, and a small personal project. Weekly mentor clinics keep the pace comfortable.
- Python & data handling foundations
- Peer community courtyards
- Weekly mentor clinic sessions
- Personal capstone project
Practical Machine Learning Cohort
Eleven weeks of community-led building — data pipelines, model evaluation, and group reviews. Projects draw on familiar Malaysian contexts so the work feels close to home.
- Data pipelines & model building
- Group review & mentor feedback
- Local-context projects
- Lesson recordings & exercise files
Deep Learning Builders Programme
Thirteen weeks for developers ready to go deeper — neural architectures, training methods, thoughtful deployment, and a capstone shaped with mentor guidance. Alumni courtyard access continues beyond the programme.
- Neural architectures & training methods
- Deployment with mentor guidance
- Small cohort — personal support
- Alumni courtyard & materials access
Learning That Feels Like a Neighbourhood
We built Ilmu Nexus around a simple kampung idea: the best learning happens when people support each other.
Community Courtyards
Every programme connects you with a peer group and a mentor — so questions always have somewhere to land.
Malaysian-Context Projects
Exercises and capstones draw on familiar local settings, making the work feel meaningful rather than abstract.
Paced, Not Pressured
Programmes are designed with a relaxed, achievable rhythm — weekly clinics, recorded lessons, and no punishing deadlines.
Clear Pathways
Each programme ends with a clear next step — so you always know where to go as your skills grow.
Qualified Mentors
Mentors are practitioners who have built real AI systems — their feedback is grounded in what actually works.
Materials You Keep
Lesson recordings, exercise files, and alumni spaces stay accessible after your programme ends.

Questions About the Programmes
Do I need any coding background to join the first programme?
No prior experience is expected for First Steps in AI Development. The programme is designed for people who are curious but new to programming — you will learn Python from the beginning, with a supportive peer group alongside you.
How do the weekly mentor clinics work?
Each programme includes regular mentor clinic sessions where you can bring questions, review your work, and get feedback in a relaxed setting. The schedule is shared when you enrol. Sessions are also recorded for those who cannot attend live.
What happens if I miss a lesson?
All lessons are recorded, so you can revisit them at any time. Exercise files are available throughout the programme. The peer community courtyard is also a good place to catch up on discussions you may have missed.
How are the programmes priced and what is included?
First Steps in AI Development is RM 940, the Practical Machine Learning Cohort is RM 1,430, and the Deep Learning Builders Programme is RM 1,830. Each price covers the full programme including lesson recordings, exercise files, mentor clinic access, and peer community space.
Can I move from one programme to the next?
Yes — the three programmes form a natural progression. Completing First Steps prepares you well for the Practical Machine Learning Cohort, and that cohort in turn lays the groundwork for Deep Learning Builders. Each programme ends with a clear next step.
Is my personal data kept private?
Yes. Your data is used only for programme delivery and communications. We do not share personal information with third parties without your consent. You can read the full details in our Privacy Policy.
