A note before you read
These terms are written to be as clear and straightforward as possible. If any section is unclear or you have a question before enrolling, please reach us at [email protected] — we are happy to help.
1. About These Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Ilmu Nexus website at ilmunex.live and your enrolment in any Ilmu Nexus programme. They form a legal agreement between you and Ilmu Nexus (referred to as "we", "us", or "our").
By accessing our website or enrolling in a programme, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our services after a change is posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Our Services
Ilmu Nexus provides online AI development programmes delivered to learners primarily in Malaysia. Our current programmes are:
- First Steps in AI Development — a seven-week introductory programme (RM 940)
- Practical Machine Learning Cohort — an eleven-week intermediate programme (RM 1,430)
- Deep Learning Builders Programme — a thirteen-week advanced programme (RM 1,830)
Programme details, schedules, and fees are subject to change. The most current information will always be available on our website. Any changes to a programme you have already enrolled in will be communicated to you directly before they take effect.
3. Eligibility
To enrol in an Ilmu Nexus programme, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age, or have the consent of a parent or guardian if under 18
- Have access to a suitable device and reliable internet connection
- Meet any prerequisite knowledge requirements described in the programme listing
We welcome learners from all backgrounds. No specific qualifications are required unless stated in a programme's description.
4. Enrolment and Payment
Enrolment is confirmed once we have received your completed enrolment submission and the applicable programme fee in full. You will receive a confirmation email at the address you provided.
Programme fees are listed on our website in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) inclusive of any applicable taxes, unless stated otherwise. We accept payment by the methods indicated at the time of enrolment. All fees must be paid before the programme start date unless a payment arrangement has been agreed in writing.
If your payment is declined or reversed, your enrolment may be suspended until the matter is resolved. Please contact us promptly if you encounter a payment issue.
5. Cancellation and Refunds
We understand that circumstances change. Our cancellation and refund policy is as follows:
- Cancellation more than 14 days before programme start: full refund, less a processing fee of RM 50
- Cancellation 7–14 days before programme start: 50% refund of the programme fee
- Cancellation fewer than 7 days before programme start, or after the programme has begun: no refund, but you may defer your place to the next available cohort of the same programme, subject to availability
To request a cancellation or deferral, please email us at [email protected] with your name, the programme you enrolled in, and your reason for cancellation. Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 14 working days using your original payment method.
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a programme, you will receive a full refund of your programme fee and we will work with you to find an alternative arrangement.
6. Programme Conduct and Community Standards
Ilmu Nexus is built around the kampung spirit of mutual respect and shared learning. All learners are expected to:
- Treat fellow learners, mentors, and staff with courtesy and respect
- Contribute positively to community spaces and group reviews
- Refrain from sharing offensive, harassing, or discriminatory content in any programme channel
- Not share login credentials or programme materials with individuals who are not enrolled
- Submit work that is honestly their own, unless a collaborative exercise is specified
We reserve the right to remove a learner from a programme, without refund, if their conduct is found to be seriously disruptive or harmful to others. We will always seek to resolve concerns through discussion first.
7. Intellectual Property
All content provided in our programmes — including lesson materials, exercises, recordings, and written guides — is owned by Ilmu Nexus or our content partners, and is protected by applicable intellectual property law.
As a learner, you are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to access and use programme materials for your own learning during and after the programme. You may not:
- Reproduce, redistribute, or resell any programme material
- Share access credentials with others
- Use our content to build or deliver competing educational products
Your own project work and capstone submissions remain yours. By submitting work through our platform, you grant us a limited licence to use it for internal educational and quality review purposes.
8. Disclaimers
Our programmes are designed to give you a solid, practical foundation in AI development. However, we make no representations about specific outcomes — career changes, salary increases, or employment placements — that may or may not follow from completing a programme. Learning outcomes depend on many factors, including effort, prior knowledge, and individual circumstances.
Programme content is provided in good faith for educational purposes. It should not be treated as professional advice (legal, financial, medical, or otherwise).
We aim to keep our website and learning platform available at all times, but cannot commit to uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Ilmu Nexus's liability to you in connection with our services is limited to the programme fee you paid for the programme directly at issue. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or economic losses arising from your use of our services.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Privacy
How we collect and use your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By enrolling, you confirm that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be referred to the courts of Malaysia, and both parties agree to submit to that jurisdiction.
We always prefer to resolve concerns through direct communication. If you have a concern, please reach out to us first — most matters can be addressed quickly and simply.
12. Severability
If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable under applicable law, that part will be removed or amended to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining Terms will continue in full effect.
